 History
  Graduate Institute of Human Resource and Knowledge Management (HRKM) was established on August 1st in 2004. We actively cultivate professional researchers in the fields of Human Resource Management (HRM), Knowledge Management (KM), Educational Training, Learning Organization and Organizational Development.

 Objective
 

Students receive a master degree in management after they graduate. The institute now belongs to Education College, and moreover, shares and integrates resources with Department of Business Management, Department of Education, Graduate Institute of Adult Education and Graduate Institute of Information and Computer Education. There are sufficient books and facilities, including more than 7,600 books about HRM and KM, video rooms, discussion rooms, research rooms, database systems, educational data rooms, psychology research rooms, test statistic rooms, electronic calculation centers and audiovisual centers.

  In the past, National Kaoshiung Normal University (NKNU) focused on teacher cultivation and education research as well as contributed to the development of compulsory education. Our school is trying to make a structural change with the departments and teachers in existence. We expect to transform NKNU into a comprehensive university and make students possess specialties besides educational field in the shortest period of time. Graduate Institute of HRKM is an important milestone in the process of transformation. We are striving to establish a platform of HRM and KM and trying to extend our influence on society.

Proactive Industrial Specialty

  Graduate Institute of HRKM has good performances in several aspects. In the point of cultivating professionals, our teaching core focuses on the integration of HRM and KM. For the needs of knowledge industry, our students not only have professional knowledge of HRM and KM but also keep HRM thinking with KM ideas. Therefore, 100% of our graduate students have entered their career or further study life. The majority of them applied jobs in Administrative Management in HR and KM fields. One to two students entered national universities or went overseas for doctor degrees every year. Our students are well evaluated by either industry or school.
 Multi-perspectives integration
  Management science is not limited with fields and nationalities. We need to make a Multi-perspectives integration of Human Resource and Knowledge Management to develop students’ competency and knowledge on their future job. Therefore, HRKM gives academic exchanges in transfield actively and cultivates talents with a diversity of backgrounds at the same time. We hope to foster talented people with specialties and moralities by knowledge sharing and learning.
 Close teacher-student relationship
  Besides professional knowledge and skills, another characteristic of HRKM is the close relationship between teachers and students, seniors and juniors, and classmates. Consequently, we have brilliant learning atmosphere in HRKM. Both native and foreign students get equally sufficient supports and care.
